The statues keep guard over Hohenzollern Castle (Germany) on a snowy evening. As dusk approaches, silence falls across the valley below and only a small strip of the sunset remains along the horizon.

This is painted from a photo I took on a trip to probably what became one of my favorite castles I've visited so far. (I've only been to 3, so there's still time to explore!!)
